EKKA Promotion

Well today was a big day for Mama J and myself. We went to the EKKA and helped promote the Greyhound Adoption Program. It was a busy busy day but a lot of fun.

Grace and some of the other greys got a chance to show off in the main arena at the dog pavillion while Kirsty was talking about the program and when the dogs where doing a little run around SOMEBODY stopped in the middle and got stage fright and froze and refused to move. Mama J was so embarrassed she had to push Grace out of the ring hahahahahahahahah.
We got lots of enquiries about fostering and adopting so it was a good day despite my disgrace. Here are some photo that Mama J took. She said to appologise about the quality of the photos she did not take her camera but Papa E's little point and shoot.

Hello its your roving reporter "Grace the Greyt" reporting about her and Milly's recent galavantings. Since the muzzle free day walk Mama J has decided that it is about time we got onto the Greyhound Promotional Trail (minus Milly). I have been to 2 promos so far one at Chapel Hill

And the other promo was at Morningside (Mama J does'nt think she took any photos for that one).

On August 2nd Mama J and Papa E took me and Mills on a greyhound walk. Milly was a little bit titchy but on the whole she was quite a good girl Mama J was very impressed with her.

See I knew I could be good I just had to think about it real real hard.

Our walk was around UQ (University of Queensland) apparently smart people go there to learn things. I'm sure Milly and I could go there if we wanted to

On Saturday afternoon we went over to grandma Zena's new house and Uncle L's little dog Charlie was there Mama J nearly had a heart attack because Milly did not have her muzzle on.

Ah but wait for it

Milly was ever so nice to Charlie. she played really nice with him and did not snap or anything. Mind you where ever he went Milly went. Mama J was so happy.

The next big event I am going to is the EKKA. We will be near the dog pavillion with the Greyhound Adoption Program people on Monday the 10th August so if any of my loyal followers are attending the EKKA on that Monday pop down and say hello (*psst* can you sneak me one of those strawberry icecreams)

I always feel guilty when I read Murphys blog and realise that I have not updated. Mama J always comments on what a good blogger Murphy is. Well I will show her. okay where do I begin. Oh yeah our muzzle free walk at New Farm park on the 12th July. That was a great morning there were so many greys we even ran into Milly's mum again and I am pleased to announce that Milly did not snap at her. *chuckle chuckle* that was the ONLY greyhound our Milly did not snap at *BOL BOL* She mortified Mama J all morning with her grouchy moods *BOL BOL*
You are so not nice Grace. One day you will get yours mark my words you you you goody 2 shoes greyhound.
Oh Milly Milly Milly. You know I love you but you gotta admit you are hopeless with crowds.
Yeah well Mama J has fixed that has'nt she. She said she won't be taking me to any more greyhound promotions. I might as well pack up my food bowl and run away.
Now now Milly don' get your fur in a fluster. You know how upset Mama J is when she leaves you behind. You know she thinks your the greatest when it comes to hopping in the car and you always make her laugh when you stick you head out the window.

Thats right she was getting cranky with you at the walk because you would only walk away from the car park you refused to move if it looked like you were heading for the car *BOL BOL*

Gold Coast Expo

Mama J and I went to the gold Coast Pet Expo on Sunday it was a fun day. Milly was really cranky with us because she wasn't allowed to go and had to stay home.

Anyway it was a good day except for one small hiccup. I realised at the Expo that I don't do stairs. I went up ok the first time but got stair fright on the way down. Mama J forgot that I have had no real stair training as there really has never been a need for it. So I put the brakes on when Mama J wanted to go back up the stupid things. so that ended our time at the indoor part of the expo. Oh gotta tell you about the poodle *BOL BOL* how embarrassing. I can't stop laughing so I will just show you the picture instead. Mama J loved the photo of Smartie sitting on Leanne's lap she thought it was so good she made me sit on her lap tonight. It was'nt too bad and it made Mama J happy that I actually stayed there. Papa E threaten to squirt me for being on the couch but Mama J said techinically I was not on the couch but on her so he was not allowed to squirt me heheh nice one Mama J. Anyway thats about it for now. 2 more sleeps then our muzzle come off for good yay we are so excited about that so come around July 1 woo hoo

We got busted last night using Mama J's computer. I was reading my mate Murphy's blog and Milly was watching youtube.
Mama J made some PJ's also last night and she used Milly as her model. hahahah love the shot of Milly's bum.

Hello my friends I hope this wintery afternoon finds you all well. Life at Casa Greyhound has been relatively peaceful. Milly's foot is slowly getting better. We went to Wynnum on Sunday for fish and chips awwwggggg mmmmm fish and chips *doggy drool*. It was Mama J's birthday on Monday so we decided to celebrate on Sunday instead. It was lovely being down by the water.
We went for a nice walk. I was soooooo glad Mama J bought the bandage and dressing for my foot cause i did'nt want to walk on the concrete and make it start bleeding again. I was so happy when I saw her bring out the bandage that I just had to hold my foot up so she would'nt forget to do it. Mama J thought that was really cute

The worst thing that could of happened to me has happened. I cut my paw at the dog park the other day. It is so sore. Mama J washed it with some betadine but I did not like that very much she almost cried. She kept it wrapped up over night and took the bandage off the next morning. Grace says I look pathetic hobbling around the house its okay for her she has 4 good paws I only have 3. We were sending Mama J stir crazy around the house because she could'nt take us to the park because I my foot but she finally relented and took us for a walk instead. I limped most of the way but I did not mind as I was finally allowed outside. I hope it heals soon as I want to get back and go for a run. Anyway I am doing ok so don't worry about me. MMMMM Massage

Well we went for our massages this weekend. MMMMMMM Massage it was so nice. Except you-know-who did her usual you-know-what. But I must say I did feel sorry for her when she told me what happened on the carpet *whispers* her tummy was a bit upset and Mama J had to rush her outside to finish the rest of the job.

GRACE oh I am sooooooooooooooooo not talking to you, MAMA J GRACE IS TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT MY ACCIDENT.

It was good to see all our friends again and a couple of new ones.

Oh yeah *jumping up and down* Mum was at the massage course to and I went up and gave her a hug well I sniffed her butt but it is the same in greyhound language.

Somebody stop Mama J

Ah man enoughs enough. Mama J has just gone too far. Will you look what she did to me and then made me walk up the street. Milly was lucky she managed to rip hers so Mama J had to take hers off but no not me I had to walk all the way to the park like this. I am so glad I did not see any of my friends.

Well popeye has left the building. He was'nt a bad dog but man did he have some energy he even out ran Milly.
I'll say. He was fast. I liked him a lot. I hope he finds a new forever home soon.
Unfortunately Mama J says we can't have any more dogs at Casa Greyhound. Me personally I don't mind but Mama J loves to foster greyhounds so that makes her sad.
I'll give her plenty of kisses and cuddles so she won't miss not having other dogs.
Mama J has been busy sewing this weekend. She has made us each a bronco's coat which Milly and I kept pulling off hehehehe. Tonight she made us both new sleeping coats. We think they look pretty. Papa E and Big Bro A laughed at us and said they were girly Hello what are we. Anyway Mama J said to show you guys some photos so here they are

Well just got the word I am moving on. Mama J said that the house was just not big enough for 3 greyhounds. She is really sad that she had to do that as I seemed to of wormed my way into her heart. So guys I guess this is goodbye. Milly my sister in crime it has been a blast. Grace you big lug I know you liked me. Please don't say anything as it is hard enough and Macho greyhounds don't cry.

BUSTED

Oh dear me Mama J busted me on Big Bro A's bed. Apparently a new rule had been set that no dogs on couches or beds. then Papa E came out early one morning and busted me on the couch he got the spray bottle and kept squirting me "alright alright already no need to drown me" well thats the look I gave him.
Yeah she got me to the other night. Mama J was in the spa and I was just scoping out the couch and she saw me and gave me that look that says "don't even think about it" so I thought better about it and I moved on. But something inside me just could not resist the couch so I jumped up and then made that fatal mistake of looking out the window yep she was watching me. I think she said a couple of naughty words and shaking her hand at me so I thought I had better get off.
Isn't it nice to have our coats on again especially now that it is starting to cool down. Mama J says she is making us some new ones. Papa E said he wanted us to have Bronco coats so that we can watch the football with him.
